I have been to Miami several times in my life, and yes Miami is awesome! The crystal clear ocean, soft and white sand, hot and sunny weather, the music, the food, the architecture, the malls, {the shopping!} and the parties obviously! These are some of the things that you will find in every corner of this city. But on my last trip this past June, I discovered a place that blew my mind away. A place that I know in my past life was for sure mine. {Or at least I would have wanted it to be.}

Being here was like being on Downtown Abbey but in a hotter and more tropical location. {So, basically, my kind of kingdom}

Because Vizcaya is so big and it has so much details on its walls, rooms, and decoration by itself, this post will be centered entirely on its floors which was one of the elements that caught my attention and love. But don’t worry! I will give you a little sneak peak of what is coming on following Mondays with the following picture:

Vizcaya was created thanks to a man called James Deering’s. The purpose of this beautiful mansion and gardens were to be his subtropical winter home in the 1910’s and today it is a National Historic Landmark and accredited museum. Can you imagine why? This place is just gorgeous!

And now to the floors…

The color combination, patterns, and details on every space is stunning! Not any pattern is similar to the other. Every space has it’s own different mix of colors and design.

I think I did 2 walks inside the entire house. Once looking just at the floors and another one looking at the walls and ceiling, which by the way, was nothing that can be described as simple.

The veining on the marble pieces that conform the floor designs are something that really resonated with me and my style.

Another incredible space that I found during my visit here was this hidden stair case that took you all the way up to a tower where more bedrooms and a bathroom where located. I can totally see something like this happening on a future home of mine.

If you would like to visit this place or just learn more about it you can visit his website HERE or follow them on Instagram HERE. Trust me, after looking at all these pictures you will just want to RUN/FLY/HIKE to get there.
I hope you liked this post and please let me know if you find this as fascinating as I did. Have you been here already? Share your thoughts with me, I would love to know what you think!
Thanks for stopping by!
